Notts County coach Hodge told Sports Canal Nottingham:
"We all hoped the football club would turn things around, and it that way 2 or 3 weeks ago when we beat Crewe and Tranmere.
"Obviously it has turned the other way recently and we are sad about Chris , Andy and Mick leaving the football club. They are great football people and men as well.
I got a call on Sunday to say that they had been sacked and asked if I would take it on for the one match.
I'm at the clup managing at the moment, so I'm very happy to take on the role temporarily
